This Indian Air Force ad tells women to take over the skies

In this time of much debate and deliberation about the role of women in society and at home, the Indian Air Force broke all barriers by commissioning the country’s first batch of women fighter pilots last year. However, it doesn’t stop there – the IAF is going forward with its vision as they recently launched a new campaign video by Grey Group titled, ‘Ek Ladki Hoon Main’ which encourages women to leave behind the resounding stereotypical comments and statements about their abilities and instead proudly achieve what was touted as sole male accomplishments.

The video roots for equality in the skies as the Indian Air Force offers the same opportunities to both, men and women at all levels right from fighter pilots, helicopter and transport pilots, ground staff to technical staff. The women who were expected to be only homemakers are now protectors of our homeland. Way to go, ladies! Read more
