Underlining the robust demand in the domestic sectors including tier 2 & 3 cities, IndiGo has announced new flights connecting Delhi to Kolkata and regional destinations – Bhubaneswar, Vadodara, Chandigarh, Jammu, Ranchi and Raipur.
With a fleet of 112 Airbus A320 aircraft, IndiGo will now offer 823 daily flights connecting 40 destinations.
The airline said the new flights resonate its expansion plans and the month-on-month growth that IndiGo has seen in the domestic skies. “We are absolutely delighted to announce 6E’s new flights connecting the metro cities with the regional destinations,” Aditya Ghosh, President, IndiGo said.
He further added, “IndiGo will continue to expand its network to meet the requirements of both business and leisure travelers wherever they demand it. It is our constant endeavor to provide more flexibility of choice to our customers as IndiGo continues to offer them an on time, hassle free and always affordable flying experience”
IndiGo is India’s largest airline with a market share of 39.8% as of July 2016, as well as the country’s largest low fare carrier. IndiGo is one of the fastest growing low cost carrier in the world.
