Shiv Sena MLA demands scrapping of Rs 130 ‘toll’ on vehicles at Mumbai airport, threatens agitation

Shiv Sena MLA Anil Parab today demanded that the Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) must withdraw its “illegal toll” being levied on those vehicles coming onto airport premises, a PTI report said. In a letter the MLA threatened that the airport may have to face agitation by the party if it didn’t withdraw the toll of Rs 130 per vehicle.

The MLA also objected to parking fee collection from vehicles entering the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. He said that the toll is causing distress to the people as all vehicles which come to the airport, do not stop there, the news agency said further. However, an airport official said that the MIAL did not receive any such letter. Read more
