The New Army Chief General Bipin Rawat said on Sunday (soon after assuming charge as the new COAS) that while the role of the Indian Army is to maintain peace and tranquillity at the border but it will not hesitate to use force if the need arises. “We want peace and tranquillity, but that doesn’t mean we are weak.
