Terrorists Attack Army Camp In Kupwara, Soldier Injured

At least one Army soldier was injured when terrorists attacked an Army camp housing 21 JAK rifles and 41 RR in forest area of Kalaroose in frontier Kupwara district of north Kashmir in the intervening night of Friday-Saturday.

According to reports, a group of militants attacked Army’s RR headquarter camp which is located in upper belt of Kalaroose forests along LoC in Kupwara district in north Kashmir in preceding night. “The indiscriminate fire continued on the RR headquarter for at least 10 minutes, the troops retaliated the fire which resulted in a brief clash”, the reports

A soldier of 21 Jak Rifles was however, injured in the firing and was shifted to military hospital in Drugmulla in Baramulla. Besides 41 RR, the camp also houses troopers of other units including 21 Jak Rifles. Soon after the attack, the Army launched a massive manhunt with the help of reinforcement of Para commandos on all sides adjoining the camp, the reports said. Read More…
