India’s Tejas Fires Beyond-Visual-Range Missile India’s Light Combat Aircraft Tejas successfully test-fired a Derby air-to-air beyond-visual-range (BVR) missile, taking a major step toward gaining final clearance for operations. “The Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Derby beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile was released in radar-guided mode,” says an Indian defense ministry official.
