2 Naxals behind MLA killing dead


Nearly 10 days after BJP MLA Bheema Mandavi from Dantewada and his four security personnel were killed in an IED blast by Maoist in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada, the police claimed that they have killed Varghese – the man believed to be behind the attack.

Police said Varghese and eight other Naxals had gathered at a hill top near Dualikarka in Dantewada on Wednesday night, who had planned to carry another IED blast there. Police got information about the attack and reached the spot.

An encounter broke out between a team of 20 District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the attackers, in which two Maoists – identified as Vargese and Linga – were killed.  Read more
