On Tuesday, US Army Pacific Commanding General Charles Flynn met with Army Chief of Staff General Manoj Pande to discuss ways to improve military collaboration. General Flynn is now in India.
In a tweet, the Army said, “General Charles A. Flynn, Commanding General United States Army Pacific #USARPAC called on General Manoj Pande #COAS & addressed areas of Bilateral Defence Cooperation.”
Lieutenant General BS Raju, the Vice Chief of Army Staff, was also introduced to General Flynn.
According to an official, the two officials addressed a variety of topics of common interest.
The visit of General Flynn to India comes amid geopolitical uncertainty sparked by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Officials added that at General Flynn’s sessions in Delhi, possibilities to strengthen military cooperation between the two countries were discussed extensively.
