Ahmednagar: Two killed after bomb stolen from Indian Army’s firing range explodes


According to Ahmednagar police, two persons died on Tuesday after a live bomb, which they had allegedly picked up from Indian Army’s firing range in MIDC area of Ahmednagar district to sell in the scrap market, exploded.

The Ahmednagar police identified the deceased as Akshay Navnath Gaikwad (19) and Sandip Bhausaheb Thirode (34). The incident took place at Kahre Kharjune village, about 15 kms from the Ahmednagar district.

The police said the duo picked up the bomb from the nearby firing range of the Army that exploded and both died on the spot. Read More
