Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) has released a recruitment notification for the posts of Flying, Ground Duty (Tech), Ground Duty (Non-tech). Interested candidates may check the vacancy details and apply online from 16-12-2017 to 14-01-2018.

The Indian Air Force will make its entrance test for officers online. Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Subhash Bhamre inaugurated the online examination web portal of Indian Air Force at Air HQ (VB). The new system will provide an opportunity to nearly four lakh candidates to sit for the airmen selection test and nearly two lakh candidates for the officer’s selection twice a year.

Eligibility Criteria for AFCAT Flying, Ground Duty (Tech & Non-tech):
Educational Qualification:
For Flying: Candidates should have passed 10+2 with Maths and Physics with at least 60% marks in each subject and B.E./B.Tech. degree from a recognised university.
For Ground Duty (Tech): Candidates must have 4-year Degree qualification and have cleared Sections A and B Examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with minimum 60% marks.
For Ground Duty (Non-tech): Candidates must have passed B.Com. with minimum 60% marks. For education posts, candidates must have passed MBA/MCA or MA/M.Sc. Degree in English/Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry/Statistics/International Relations/International Studies/Defence Studies/Psychology/Computer Science/IT/Management/Mass Communication/Journalism/Public Relation with minimum of 50% marks and have scored minimum 60% marks in graduation.

Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and Maximum 24 to 26 years depending on position

Selection Process: Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of Computer-based Online Test, Psychological Test, Group Tests and Personal Interview.

Training will commence in the first week of January 2019 for all courses at Air Force Academy Dundigal (Hyderabad). The duration of training for Flying and Ground Duty (Technical) Branches is 74 weeks and that of Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branches is 52 weeks at Air Force Training Establishments. PAN Card, Aadhaar card and account in SBI/ Nationalised Bank is mandatory at the time of joining Air Force Academy (AFA).

Application Fee: All candidates have to pay Rs. 250 through online mode using Net-banking/Credit or Debit Card. Candidates with Meteorology Entry and NCC Special Entry don’t have to pay any fee.
