Air India flight develops glitch, leaves a day after

Visakhapatnam: An Air India flight plying from New Delhi to Port Blair via Visakhapatnam could not take off from Visakhapatnam International Airport on Monday as it developed a technical glitch. According to reports, all passengers aboard the flight were shifted to a hotel on Monday as the technical problem remained unsolved.

According to Dhanunjaya Rao, airport director in-charge, “Due to a technical snag, the Port Blair flight from Delhi, which had a layover in Visakhapatnam, could not take off on Monday. However, the flight took off at 09:46 am on Tuesday.”

Officials from the Air India office said that the Air India flight usually lands at 07:40 am and takes off at 08:15 am from Visakhapatnam Airport.  Read More
