Aircraft fuel tank leakage detected, mishap averted


A major mishap was averted on Wednesday when the support staff detected leakage in the fuel tank of Air India 194 flight scheduled to leave for Dubai from Amausi airport.

The flight had landed at 1.10pm and was scheduled to take off at 2.10pm. Air India officials said when the support staff came to fill fuel they detected the leakage and instantly informed the control room.

The technical team took two hours to fix the fault and gave the green signal for take off around 3.45pm.  Read More
