Anadrone Systems will supply aerial targets to the Indian Army

The Indian Army has signed a contract worth $12.88 million (960 million rupees) with Anadrone Systems for the Maneuverable Expandable Air Target (MEAT). The contract for the purchase of air target systems is the first signed by the army in the Make-II category.

It also represents an important step towards the “AtmaNirbhar” initiative, which aims to make India a self-sufficient nation. Industry-funded projects under the “MakeII” category include the development of equipment prototypes and their upgrades and subsystems. The government does not fund the development of prototypes in this category.
