Army And Air Force Day Parades Will No Longer Be Held In Delhi

It will be a first for the Army and Air Force Days parades to leave the national capital area. Officials stated that while the Air Force Day ceremony will take place on October 8 in Chandigarh, the Army Day parade will take place on January 15, 2023, in the Southern Command region.

In Southern Command, the following Army Day parade will take place. The Command will choose a place, an official from the defence department said on Monday.

The source added that the other reason was to give students from various institutions and colleges in the nation a chance to participate. It’s also to demonstrate our strength to the rest of the nation.

So far, the same institutions have sent students each year as it has been conducted at Hindon Air Force Station in the national capital area. The official explained that this will now change and continued, “It will offer institutions in different parts of the country an opportunity to participate.”

The official continued, “An investiture ceremony is held in conjunction with the Air Force Day parade and flypast, which is presently being separated from the latter. The fly past and aerial display will take place on the banks of Sukhna Lake in the afternoon, while the parade will take place at Air Force Station Chandigarh in the morning.

In a similar vein, the Prime Minister no longer addresses the Combined Commanders Conference (CCC) in Delhi. The CCC first hosted in Delhi in 2014, but since then, it has taken place in several locations around the nation. In 2015, it took place on board the INS Vikramaditya, and in 2017, it took place at the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun. The CCC was held in 2018 at the Air Force Station in Jodhpur.
