Army Chief to review Combined graduation parade at AFA on Dec 15

Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat will review the Combined Graduation Parade at the Air Force Academy (AFA), Dindigul, here on Saturday to mark the successful completion of pre-commissioning training of Flight Cadets belonging to various branches of Indian Air Force.

During the function, Rawat will confer the ‘President’s Commission’ to 141 graduating trainees of various branches, the Academy said in a release here on Monday. The ceremony also included the presentation of ‘Wings and Brevets’ to the Flight Cadets who would be successfully completing Flying and Navigation training respectively.

The award of ‘Wings or Brevets’ represents a significant milestone in every Military Aviator’s career and is the culmination of a very demanding but rewarding period of training. Read More
