Army Commander Stresses Self-sufficiency In Technology

Lt. General Ranbir Singh, Army Commander, Northern Command, stressed the importance of initiatives that make India attain self-sufficiency in developing future technologies on its own and its role in feeding the Make in India programme.

The Army Commander was addressing 322 young interns from various districts of Jammu attending the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) Science Internship Camp at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, on Friday.

He cited the example, that nations which harness Science and Technology (S&T) are destined to become great powers which is essential for peace.

He introduced the interns to the role of S&T in Army and said that Army as an institution has vast opportunities to pursue various fields of Science and Technology.  Read More
