Audit reports Christian Michel relies on factually incorrect: ED to court

In what may spell more trouble for alleged middleman in the VVIP chopper deal, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has told the Court that the audit reports of Christian Michel’s companies “appear to be factually incorrect”.

This assumes significance because Michel has relied on these audit reports claiming that he has been exonerated of all money laundering charges. The special public prosecutor for ED, Davinder Pal Singh today told the Court that investigation has revealed that there  factual inaccuracies in the audit reports.

“Hence it is required to be seen whether the Italian Court have based their decision on the said audit report”, reads the application moved by ED today in the Court. The agency’s claim seeks to question the acquittal of two AgustaWestland officials by an Italian Court last year.   Read More
