The deal for the delivery of Advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) suite for Indian Air Force fighter aircraft has been completed between the Ministry of Defence and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). The deal was signed between the Ministry of Defense and BEL, with a cost estimate of Rs. 93 crore.
According to the official release, the delivery of modern EW systems will greatly improve the battle-survivability of IAF fighter aircraft during operational missions against enemies’ ground-based and airborne fire control and surveillance radars.
The EW suite was designed and developed in-house by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The project represents the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat and will aid in the realisation of the journey towards self-reliance, according to the statement.
