Boost To Air Link: More Mysureans Flying Now!


Despite its status as the next most important city  after Bengaluru in Karnataka, Mysuru’s air connectivity saw a  reasonable take off only a month ago with several new flights being introduced from the city to various destinations. Fortunately, they are in demand not only among industrialists and tourists, but also local Mysureans.

“The 72- seater flights of Trujet Airways operating between Chennai and Mysuru are nearly full with at least  50 seats occupied every day and sometimes even  67,” says Mysuru airport director, Manoj Kumar Singh, revealing that  Air Odissa is likely to once again operate 20-seater flights between Mysuru and Chennai from November and a flight to Goa is also in the pipeline. Now that the airport is being used more, it is providing  refuelling facility for flights courtesy BPCL, BSNL wifi services and has restaurants serving light snacks and hot beverages, he reveals.  Read More…
