Centre Clears Noida Airport Project In Jewar


The ministry of civil aviation on Monday set in motion the process for building a second airport in the national capital region (NCR). The airport will be built in Jewar area of Uttar Pradesh (UP) along the 165 km long Yamuna Expressway.

The ministry headed by Suresh Prabhu after receiving the technical feasibility report cleared the proposal to construct the airport with a cost of approx Rs 67,00 crore.

On December 5, the Yogi Adityanath government had approved the plan for the Jewar airport estimated to spread over 3,000 hectares of land. The first phase is expected to involve 1300 hectares. The construction work for the ambitious project is likely to start by the year-end. Read More…
