Dragon’s policy of expansion: President Xi orders PLA to prepare for war

President Xi since assumption of power in China is making effective and serious efforts to transform the PLA into a world class force by mid-21st Century. According to its plans, the modernisation of the armed forces would be completed by 2035.

Now President Xi who heads the Central Military Commission-the highest decision making body for military activities-has ordered the Chinese armed forces to enhance their combat readiness and break new ground for developing a strong military in view of the changes taking place in the world.

The most remarkable aspect of the order, which is a kind of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), is that it reflects professionalism. It precisely highlights the steps needed to be taken by its armed forces in accordance with the known ‘principles of war’.
