Efforts pay off, Air India to restore three flights from Vij

In good news for fliers from the city, Air India has decided to restore a few flight services which had been cancelled in recent time. The YSRC-led state government had focussed its attention on taking corrective measures after flight services were withdrawn to some major cities in the country. Responding positively to the state government’s efforts, Air India has decided to restore a few key services from the city.

The Vijayawada airport recorded an immense growth in recent times. Once a minor airport in South India, with less than 12 flight movements a day in 2014, the airports now serves 7 lakh passengers on a daily basis. Read More
