Exports Of Defence Goods Worth Rs 16k Cr: Anurag Thakur

Anurag Thakur, the Union Minister for Sports, Information, and Broadcasting, said here today that India has exported arms worth Rs 16,000 crore and become one of the biggest places in the world to make arms.

He was talking after starting new projects to improve the areas of Nadaun and Hamirpur.

He said it was sad that the country’s soldiers still didn’t have bulletproof jackets after 75 years of independence. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given the Army more than 250,000 jackets.

Anurag said that the NDA had made sure that the country was run without any corruption. The Prime Minister made sure that the money for the welfare programme got to the people who needed it. He said that money from the government was now sent straight to their bank accounts.

Before that, the Union minister opened the Hadeta Khud bridge, the Dheli Nullah bridge, a health centre in Majiyar, and other improvements.
