Flying Virgin Atlantic To London? Luxe Car Will Pick You From Pune


When UK-based Virgin Atlantic relaunches its Mumbai-London flights this October, the loudest cheer would come from business class passengers living in Pune. In a first-of-its-kind service, the airline will be extending its “limousine service” to its business class passengers living in Pune.

Currently, a number of airlines like Air India, Emirates, Etihad offer “limousine service” to certain categories of business class and first class passengers, but the offer is valid only for those living within 50 mile or 80km radius from the airport, said a travel industry expert. To the uninitiated, a limousine service might conjure up images of uber-luxury travel, but in airline lingo, it simply translates to a pre-booked, chauffer-driven sedan, typically a Mercedes or a BMW. Read more
