IAF Chief Emphasises Joint manship Among Armed Forces

Air Chief Marshal B S Dhanoa, Chief of Air Staff on Wednesday addressed the future leaders of the Tri-services of Indian Armed forces today at College of Defence Management (CDM) as they get prepared to take on higher leadership role after completing the prestigious Higher Defence Management Course (HDMC).

The Chief of the Air Staff talked about Joint Operations in the Indian Air Force Context.

He described the contributions of Air Force in the joint operations undertaken in the past. He said that the wars fought by us and the peace time operations for humanitarian aid and in response to disaster situations have emphasised the need for synergised use of all three services of the Indian Armed Force.

He charted out and explained the future road map of Air Force towards greater jointmanship. He spoke about the high level of preparedness of Air Force in terms of the air assets held and high professional state of training of the personnel. He advised the officers to leverage the joint training being carried out at CDM to build on relationships which contributes greatly towards greater jointmanship.

Post his lecture the CAS interacted with the officers in a free and candid manner wherein he answered the questions posed to him by the participant officers.
