In Rajasthan, India And Oman Will Conduct A 13-Day Military Exercise

Beginning August 1, India and Oman will conduct a nearly two-week military exercise focused on counter-terrorism cooperation.
The exercise, dubbed ‘AL NAJAH-IV,’ will take place from August 1 to 13 at the Mahajan field firing ranges in Rajasthan.
A 60-man team from the Royal Army of Oman has arrived at the exercise site.
According to the Defense Ministry, the joint military exercise aims to improve bilateral defence cooperation.
Troops from the 18 Mechanised Infantry Battalion will represent the Indian Army at the exercise. The previous edition of the exercise was held in March 2019 in Muscat.
The fourth edition of the India-Oman joint military exercise ‘AL NAJAH-IV’ between contingents of the Indian Army and the Royal Army of Oman is scheduled to take place from August 1 to 13 at the Foreign Training Node of Mahajan Field Firing Ranges, according to a statement from the Defence Ministry.
The exercise will include “professional interaction, mutual understanding of drills and procedures, the establishment of joint command and control structures, and the elimination of terrorist threats,” according to the statement.
“The joint exercise would focus on counter-terrorism operations, regional security operations, and peacekeeping operations under the United Nations charter, in addition to organising joint physical training schedules, tactical drills, techniques, and procedures,” according to the statement.
