At the Chushul-Moldo border crossing on the Indian side, the 16th round of the India-China Corps Commander Level Meeting took place on Sunday. The two sides agreed to maintain constant communication and engagement through military and diplomatic channels and resolve any outstanding concerns as soon as possible during the meeting.
The Ministry of Defense reports that both parties agreed to work together to maintain security and stability in the Western Sector.
In a statement, it was stated that “the two sides emphasised that the resolution of the outstanding issues will help in the restoration of peace and calm along the LAC in the Western Sector and permit advancement in bilateral relations.” The eastern Ladakh region is referred to by the government as the Western sector.

In keeping with the directive from the state authorities to work for the earliest resolution of the outstanding issues, they conducted an open and detailed discussion in this respect.
Ten days after Foreign Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Chinese colleague Wang Yi met in Bali, the 16th round of military negotiations was held.
Despite lasting for 12-and-a-half hours, there was no progress in finding a solution to the unresolved problems. At the Chushul Moldo meeting location on the Indian side of the LAC, India and China held their sixteenth round of negotiations.
Lt Gen A Sengupta, the commander of the Fire and Fury Corps, is negotiating on behalf of India. Major General Yang Lin, the chief of the South Xinjiang Military District, led the Chinese delegation.
On March 11, the military dialogue’s fifteenth round was held, but it too produced no substantial results. After a bloody clash near Pangong Lake, India and China have been at odds. The eastern Ladakh border impasse broke out after the conflict.
