India Dominated Asia Pacific Group at Forefront To Decide The Fate of Pakistan at FATF

India dominated Asia Pacific Group (APG), a regional body of the global Financial Action Task Force (FATF) will evaluate Pakistan in just over a week. The Pakistan government is reportedly ready with the list actions that Islamabad has taken in response to the 27-point FATF action plan.

The official document prepared for the Asia Pacific Group review mainly lists official takeover of Jaish-e-Mohammad, Jamaat ud-Dawa and their affiliated bodies in entirety, the madrassa mainstreaming plans, and stringent control/monitoring regimes to restrict terrorist financing and money laundering.

Will this document be able to convey the required ‘real understanding’, within various arms of government, of the FATF action plan?
