Indian Air Force Is Looking To Add To Its Depleted Su-30 Fleet.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is searching for a quick deal with Russia for 12 additional Su-30MKI fighters to be produced by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, due to a significant number of Su-30MKIs ‘on the ground’ (HAL).
The IAF’s supply of spares and equipment is, however, being hampered by Russia’s war in Ukraine. The force’s fighter squadrons have already been reduced to 29, relying on 272 Su-30 MKIs.
A deal could be sealed during Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s two-day visit to Delhi beginning March 31. However, it is uncertain whether a five-year maintenance contract for the Su-30MKI would be renewed. Read More
