Indian Army Foils An Infiltration Attempt In J&k’s Rajouri District, Killing Two Infiltrators

The Indian Army said on Tuesday that it killed two infiltrators along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, stopping an infiltration attempt at Pukharni in the Nowshera sector.

The inquiry into the incident is still ongoing. On yesterday night, army forces stationed near the Line of Control detected some suspicious activity and opened fire. Two intruders were killed as a result of this. The bodies of the infiltrators are still lying near the barrier. The army are working hard to recover the dead.

“Army troops posted near the LoC spotted some suspicious movement yesterday night and opened fire,” an army officer stated.

He said that the event killed two infiltrators and that efforts are being undertaken to recover their bodies, which are currently lying near the fence.

The scene of the incident is being investigated. “Reconnaissance of the general region of the site of the attempted infiltration is currently happening,” according to a Defense PRO based in Jammu.

“Two bodies of infiltrators have been seen during reconnaissance by quadcopter, and the region is being inspected further,” the army added.
