Indian Army Issues A Warning About Covid

The Indian Army sent out a warning telling its members to take precautions like wearing face masks, especially in small, crowded places, and practising social distance.

The army also told people to keep their hands clean by washing them often and using hand sanitizer.

The advisory comes at a time when there are more Covid-19 cases in China, Japan, South Korea, and the United States, among other places.

The Indian Army and the country’s epidemiological situation are being closely watched, the advisory said.

The advisory also says that all people with symptoms should be tested for Covid-19, and those who test positive should be kept away from other people for seven days. Those with diseases that are moderate to severe will be taken to the hospital.

Sources say that at 3 p.m. on Friday, Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya will hold a virtual meeting with State health ministers to talk about the Covid-19 situation and how ready they are.

Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led a high-level meeting to look at the status and readiness of the public health response to COVID-19. He stressed the need for stronger surveillance, with a focus on genome sequencing and more testing.

The Prime Minister’s Office says that COVID-19 cases have gone up in some countries, which is why this high-level review meeting is happening now.

In the last two days, Chief Ministers from many states around the country have met with senior officials to talk about how ready their states are for Covid-19.
