Indian Industry Engages With Foreign OEMs for Opportunities Under Make in India Defence

The largest Make in India Program for 36 Rafale aircraft took off to a flying start today with more than 150 delegates from Indian companies, including MSMEs engaged with the representatives of Dassault Reliance Aerospace, Thales, Safran and MBDA.
As part of inclusive growth strategy, the event was organized to encourage larger Industry engagement for Rs. 30,000 Cr. offsets related to 36 Rafale aircraft by Dassault Reliance Aerospace Limited.
Opportunities for participation in the Global supply chain of participating OEMs were presented to the Indian companies.
Reliance has offered to support Indian companies set up facilities at Dhirubhai Ambani Aerospace Park at MIHAN with Plug & Play facilities, technical assistance and equity participation.
Under the proposed plans, critical components for the identified programs will be done under the JVCo.
Program will create 3500 direct and in-direct, highly skilled job opportunities.
Aerospace Park at MIHAN will also work as incubator  for new start ups and will contribute to the Skill India and Make in India initiatives of the Government.
