Indian Navy Successfully Test Fired The BrahMos Missile From Guided Missile Destroyer INS Delhi

The guided missile destroyer INS Delhi successfully test launched a BrahMos supersonic cruise missile. On board the INS Delhi, an updated modular launcher was used to test the missile’s anti-ship variant.
The Navy said in a statement that the successful maiden BrahMos fire by INS Delhi from an updated modular launcher “once again demonstrated long range strike capability of the BrahMos as well as validation of integrated Network Centric Operations from frontline assets.”
The Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully tested a BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from a Sukhoi fighter plane on the Eastern shore on the same day.
The “live fire” of the missile was done in close cooperation with the Indian Navy, according to the Indian Air Force.
