ISI agent nabbed in Amritsar, booked under OSA: Police


Acting on a tip-off by a J&K based military intelligence unit, the State Special Operations Cell of Amritsar Police has busted an espionage ring and arrested an alleged ISI agent. The suspect has been identified as Ram Kumar, police said.

The MI had received inputs that the individual was in touch with some officials from the ISI and had been passing sensitive military information over WhatsApp to his handler in Pakistan in lieu of money.

The individual was arrested under the Official Secrets Act and criminal conspiracy and two of his mobile phones and four sim cards were seized for forensic analysis.
