J&K: Terrorists from the JeM have been apprehended in the Pattan district of Baramulla; arms and ammunition have been collected.

On Tuesday, two Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists were detained in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. Arms and ammunition were also discovered from terrorists apprehended in the Pattan area, according to intelligence received by the Indian Army.

“A mobile vehicle check post was established on Hanziviura Bala Pattan Baramulla road bend in a joint operation led by the Baramulla Police, 29 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) after receiving information (at around 5.30 AM) regarding the movement of two to three terrorists with warlike stores in Hanziviura Pattan,” the Indian Army said in a statement.

According to the Indian Army, two JeM terrorists, Aqib Mohd Mir (27) and Danish Ah Dar (25) (both from Sopore), were caught along with two pistols, ammunition, and grenades.

“From their possession, the army has recovered two Chinese Pistols, two Pistol Mags, ten Ammunition Pistols, and two Chinese Grenades,” it added.
