J-K Police busts HM terror module, arrests 5 terrorists ‘planning attack’ on security forces

The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday busted a terror module of the Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) and arrested five terrorists in the Shopian district. The police also recovered a sophisticated improvised explosive device (IED) during the search.

According to ANI reports, the terrorists were planning to target police and security forces by planting explosives during their movement in the area. A probe has been initiated into the matter. Two soldiers were killed and 17 other jawans were injured after an IED explosion hit their vehicle at Arihal village in Pulwama on Monday.

Meanwhile, in a major success on Tuesday, the Indian Army killed two Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists in an encounter at Marhama village of Bijbehara in South Kashmir’s Anantnag. Read More
