On Tuesday, three terrorists were killed by security forces in the Shopian district of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The fight happened early on Tuesday morning, and the Jammu and Kashmir Police say the terrorists involved are from the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba.

A police official said that security forces had set up a cordon and search operation at Munjh Marg in the Zainapora neighbourhood of Shopian after hearing that militants were there. He said that the search turned into a meeting later on.

On December 7, militants and security forces also had a fight in Shopian district. After hearing that militants were in the Watho area of Shopian, security forces set up a cordon and started searching the area. During the operation, the militants who had been hiding started shooting at the security forces. No one was hurt, as far as we know.

In a case related to the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the Jammu and Kashmir Police recently filed a chargesheet against a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist.
