Jammu And Kashmir: Pakistan Violates Ceasefire Along LoC in Mankote Sector of Poonch; Indian Army Retaliates to Heavy Firing


Pakistan on Saturday violation the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Mankote sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Army is retaliating strongly to the heavy mortar shelling.

On March 9, the Pakistani troops resorted to ceasefire violation in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district in the state. Prior to that, at least four civilians, including three members of a family, were killed and several others injured in over 60 incidents of ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the LoC in Rajouri and Poonch districts.

Notably, there has been an increase in incidents of ceasefire violations by Pakistan after Indian Air Force (IAF) carried out ‘pre-emptive airstrike’ on Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror camps in Balakot in Pakistan on February 26. Read More
