A police constable, who was kidnapped by terrorists on Thursday, has been killed, media reports said on Friday The constable was kidnapped from Shopian district of the state.
The body, with bullet injury marks, was recovered by security forces from Dangam area in Shopian. Javaid Ahmad Dar was abducted by the militants travelling in car around 9.30pm near his home at Vehil Chatwatan, an official told Hindustan Times.
Dar was a personal security officer for former superintendent of police Shalinder Mishra, the official told the newspaper. Security forces launched an operation to trace the constable after he was abducted by terrorists. Read More
