J&K: Army Major, soldier martyred in explosion triggered by Pakistan’s BAT

One Army major and one soldier were martyred in an attack conducted by Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT) in Jammu & Kashmir’s Nowshera district. This is the second attack by Pakistan’s BAT team on Indian troops within a span of 24-hours.

Three soldiers were also injured in the explosion that was triggered by Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT).  Earlier one porter was critically injured in sniping incident in Nowshera sector. The attack comes a day after one BSF personnel and one Army man was injured in sniping incident in Poonch sector.

At 3 pm IST, an IED explosion occurred near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Naushera Sector in which an Army Officer and a soldier got seriously injured. They were immediately provided medical aid and but later succumbed to their injuries.  Read More
