J&k: Cordon And Search Operation Launched In Baramulla’s Kralhal, Terrorists Believed To Be Hiding


A cordon and search operation was launched by the security forces in Kralhal region of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday after receiving specific inputs of two to three terrorists hiding in the region.

Earlier on Wednesday, two Indian Air Force (IAF) Garud Force personnel, Sergeant Milind Kishor and Corporal Nilesh Kumar Nayar, were martyred in an encounter with the terrorists in North Kashmir’s Bandipore district. During the encounter, the security forces successfully had neutralised two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists, out of whom one was identified as a local and the other as a Pakistani national named Ali.

The encounter broke out during wee hours on Wednesday morning when the terrorists opened fire on a joint party of 13 Rashtriya Rifles of Army and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police around 5 AM in Hajin of the district as security forces laid a cordon in the area. Read More…
