Locals Hail Defence Minister’s Firm Stance On Cantt Roads

The ministry of defence’s (MoD) decision to open Cantonment roads has been welcomed by civilians who also lauded the Union minister for taking an assertive stand on the issue.

On Tuesday, defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman justified the government’s move to throw open roads in Cantonments, stating that many of them had been closed without following proper procedure.

“We welcome the defence ministry’s judgement that was explained in detail with clarifications during the press meet. We request the MoD to depute a high-ranking official to view Secunderabad Cantonment Board roads that remain closed despite orders,” said S Chandrashekar, spokesperson of the Open Secunderabad Cantonment All Roads (OSCAR).   • If some body ask the RM is that following of procedure is more important than security of troops and families. just because if you have not followed the procedure does not mean you can open the roads as if it is a punishment for Fauji families. Moreover the civilians are trying to start something which has security ramifications and these bloody babus have no clue about security issues……
