Martin VBAT Demonstrations For Indian Army


Martin UAV has successfully completed flight demonstrations in India for the Indian Army. Over the last 2 weeks, Martin UAV’s innovative V-BAT aircraft flew in operational test scenarios in both mountainous terrain and Jungle environments. Flying both day and night sorties the V-BAT performed exceptionally well in the challenging conditions. Following the demonstrations, Martin UAV will be showcasing the V-BAT at the Defence Expo in Chennai before returning to the US.

V-BAT is a long endurance VTOL design ideal for shipboard and confined area operation. A ducted fan design maximizes operational safety by eliminating exposed rotors.  The aircraft is launched and recovered in a 20 x 20 ft clearing and can fly for up to 8+ hours with a 5+ lb payload. Read More…
