Militant Killed, Another Arrested For Hurling Grenades Inside Court Complex

Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir killed a militant and arrested another today (October 18) morning. The two are allegedly responsible for attacking security forces in Pattan town of Baramulla district in North Kashmir.

Yesterday, three security personnel were injured after militants lobbed hand grenades inside a court complex in Pattan. An operation was launched to track the culprits following this attack.

Security forces arrested 16-year-old Faizan Majeed, a resident of Tral in Pulwama. They claim that he had joined the militant ranks two weeks ago. his mother is reportedly bed-ridden since then.

The militant who has been shot dead has been identified as Showket Ahmad. He too was reportedly involved in yesterday’s attack. Read More
