Mumbai Flight Rescheduled Five Times

Chaos ensued at Gate no. 18 of the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on Friday evening after an Air India flight (AI-608) from Bengaluru to Mumbai was rescheduled more than five times and delayed by over five hours, leaving passengers stranded at the airport.

The flight, which was scheduled to depart from the KIA at 5.25pm, took off only at 10.55pm. Several passengers gathered near the boarding gate and protested the delay while many others took to Twitter to complain.

“@airindiain shame on your service. One could have probably taken bus than taking your flight. A flight from Bangalore to Mumbai is delayed for 6 hours. There is no fog in Blr and also in Mum. Your emp are not even coming to the boarding gate desk to attend flyers,” tweeted flyer Stutee Verma.

Another passenger, Yughal Chelani, wrote, “3-10 hrs delay in flights at Bangalore…insensitive officials.” Read more
