NIA charges 7 youths with terror links


National Investigation Agency (NIA) Kochi unit registered yet another case regarding the activities of at least seven youths who conducted preparations or joined terrorist organizations Jund al-Aqsa and Jabhat al-Nusrah. FIR in this regard was submitted at NIA court in Kochi on Wednesday.

As per an official communique of the NIA, the case (Jund al-Aqsa Case) was registered at NIA Branch Office, Kochi, under Sections 120B and 125 of IPC besides Sections 16 and 18 of UAPA.

The NIA said that it received credible information that from 2013, certain youths, originally from Kerala and Karnataka but based in Qatar, had hatched criminal conspiracy to wage war against Syria. Read More
