No Decline In Terror Related Violence In Jammu & Kashmir: Home Ministry

Citizens in Jammu and kashmir continue to live in fear as there is no decline in terror-related incidents in the state. According to the latest data shared by Ministry of Home Affairs, the much touted ‘internal ceasefire’ and ‘suspension of operations’ did not help in bringing down level of violence.

Minister of State (MoS) for Home Hansraj Ahir said in a written reply to Rajya Sabha that violence in Jammu and Kashmir remained at all-time high till first week of July, 2018.

According to Home Ministry, 256 terror related incidents were recorded in J&K till July 8 this year. 100 terrorists were eliminated, 43 security personnel were martyred and 16 civilians were killed. Read More
