Indonesia’s national airline, Garuda has introduced a new form of in-flight entertainment – ‘live acoustic concerts’. The unique concept has only been introduced for domestic flights as of yet.

The first live concert took place on the flight between Jakarta and Bali and featured two musicians, reported AFP. These live concerts are to be of short duration only, lasting somewhere between 10-15 minutes each.

As for the safety measures taken for these artists, a spokesperson from the airlines said that the safety of artists onboard will be given utmost importance and they will be seated immediately if any turbulence occurs.

The motive behind the introduction of this concept is to increase the options of in-flight entertainment, as well as the promotion of new musical talents in Indonesia. Read More
