While claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is personally monitoring the work on upcoming airport at Mopa in Goa, the state government has said that the Director of Civil Aviation will brief Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar about the progress on the project on daily basis.
The Goa government has asked all its departments to provide all the necessary support to the company which has been contracted the work of constructing the facility which is monitored by Prime Minister Modi.
The state government has signed concession agreement with GMR Goa International Airport Limited (GGIAL) for construction of greenfield international airport at Mopa in North Goa on public private partnership basis.
“Honourable Prime Minister of India is monitoring the progress of construction of Mopa airport work,” chief secretary Dharmendra Sharma has said in the letter addressed to various department on November 2.
Sharma has also said that Chief Minister is monitoring the project progress on a day-to-day basis. Read More…
