Rajnath Singh Is Likely To Visit The U.S. Navy’s Third Fleet

After the 2+2 conference in Washington DC on April 11, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is expected to visit the US Navy’s strong Third Fleet in San Diego, California. For the 2+2 meetings in Washington DC, Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will meet with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
The war in Ukraine, the Indo-Pacific scenario, as well as bilateral strategic problems, will be examined. Singh will then visit the Third Fleet headquarters, where he will be briefed on the fleet’s actions, which will primarily take place in the Pacific Ocean.
At least three carrier strike groups, each led by an aircraft carrier and its battle group, make up the Third Fleet. The Theodore Roosevelt, Carl Vinson, and Abraham Lincoln are the three super carriers currently assigned to the Third Fleet. Apart from the United States, India has 2+2 discussions with only a few countries.
They are Russia, as well as Japan and Australia, two of the Malabar naval exercise’s participants. The Indo-US conversation is held once a year, although it has been postponed due to COVID-related delays.
